Ecologist's Day is celebrated on June 5. This holiday is organized to draw the attention of people, businesses and states to environmental issues. In honor of this, we talked with Anastasia Radaeva, a leading ecologist at Azot Group. Anastasia spoke about how environmental safety is ensured in production. Question: What are the main environmental risks in our company? Anastasia: The main risk is the high level of noise and vibration. Our employees work on equipment that, unfortunately, cannot be made less noisy with modern capabilities, so laboratory monitoring of noise and vibration levels, as well as illumination and electromagnetic radiation is regularly carried out. Question: And how is the emission of harmful substances controlled? Anastasia: Our production facilities have a modern monitoring system. The company has automatic sensors that take measurements in real time to monitor the microclimate and air in the work areas and monitor the MAC. And the data is promptly and directly transmitted to the environmental service. Question: Are there any protective measures for employees? Anastasia: Of course! All our employees are provided with special protective equipment. These are respirators, gloves, headphones and earplugs, and, of course, protective clothing. Regular medical examinations are also conducted to monitor the health of employees. And, of course, one of the important measures in production is a ventilation system with air filtration. Question: Anastasia, can you tell me how the waste is disposed of? Anastasia: As you know, all waste is classified according to the degree of danger. Some of our production waste is classified as Class III (moderately hazardous), so it is sent to specialized enterprises. We only work with licensed companies that ensure safe disposal. Most of the waste belongs to classes IV and V. These are low-risk and practically non-hazardous wastes. At first glance, it may seem that they also require special disposal, but in fact, these wastes either decompose independently in nature, or they are waste that can be recycled. We use some of them independently for recycling, and we supply some of them to other industries in our district and district. Question: What has changed in the company's environmental policy in recent years? Anastasia: Progress is progressing by leaps and bounds, which at the same time has a detrimental effect on the environment, and at the same time offers new and improved ways to protect nature. So, recently our company has installed additional filters on ventilation systems. Separately, I would like to note that Azot Group invests in eco-friendly solutions to minimize the impact on the environment. Question: Do you have any plans to improve environmental safety? Anastasia: Of course! There are plans to modernize and install additional monitoring sensors in the near future. A program to reduce water consumption in production is also under development. Question: What would you like to say to the residents of our district? Anastasia: All employees of the production are residents of our city and nearby towns, so environmental issues and its conservation are a priority for us. We constantly monitor all indicators and take the necessary measures to protect the environment of our native area. Take care of nature! She's the only one we have! We thank Anastasia for her interesting story and join her words! Caring for nature starts small: with a wrapper thrown in the trash, with sorting garbage, with raising our children and teaching them respect for the world around us.
