Every year on September 19, the Day of the Gunsmith is celebrated throughout our country!
This holiday began to be celebrated in 2012 by order of the President of the Russian Federation. The choice of the date was not accidental. For the first time, the profession of "court gunsmith" is mentioned in the September annals of the beginning of the XVI century, and that is why September was chosen for the celebration. The second reason was the celebration of St. Michael's Day on September 19. On this day, the patron saint of the heavenly host, Archangel Michael, is honored.
