The first February weekend in Orekhovo-Zuyevsky district begins with a hunting biathlon in memory of Akhmatyanov Bulat Rinatovich. Competitions have already become traditional and have been organized by the local society of hunters and fishermen for several years.
This year, the number of participants who came to the start has increased to 120 people. In addition to those who took part in the competitions, there were also a large number of guests at the event - many people have been coming to Orekhovo-Zuyevo with their families and friends for many years.
The track this year was similar to last year's, but this did not make it easier to pass. Each participant had to run 2 kilometers on skis and "shoot back" at 2 shooting ranges.
The first frontier is skeet shooting, simulating the take–off of a bird from under the rack of a cop dog.
The second is shooting a bullet cartridge at metal gongs.
The organizers took into account the experience of last year, when the number of starters approached the 100 mark, and increased the number of shooting numbers at each turn to achieve maximum throughput.
At the end of the competition, the participants were waiting for a huge cauldron of pilaf prepared by the organizers, as well as a solemn awarding ceremony for the winners. For many years now, Azot Group has sponsored these competitions and, for its part, provided gifts for the winners.
