Rifle powder No. 160 is especially suitable for larger calibers (especially Magnums) from 30-06 with heavier bullets. 243 Winchester, .260 Remington, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 × 55 SE, 7 mm Weatherby Magnum, .300 Winchester Magnum,. 338 Winchester Magnum and all Winchester short magnums. Also used in high capacity cartridges such as Norma 6.5-284.
No. 160 is a tubular powder with a grain size of 1.3 mm in length and 1.1 mm in diameter. Medium to slow burning rates on the scale of our shotgun powders. No. 160 is commonly used for large hunting ammunition, especially heavy bullets.
